   • Accuracy: Measured as a percentage of correctly typed characters.
   • Tie-Breaker: If WPM scores are tied, the participant with higher accuracy wins.

CodeQuest

Join our two-phase coding competition: reverse engineer outputs, debug faulty code, test your skills, and compete for exciting prizes!

Coding & Debugging Challenge

Date & Time: Janurary 19, 10:30 AM

General Rules :

• The total duration of the competition is up to 2 hours (120 minutes).
• Participants must use the laptops or PCs provided by the college.
• Participants must register online or on-site before the event begins.
• Allowed languages for the coding phase are Java, C, C++, and Python.
• Judging is based on correctness, code efficiency, debugging skill, and code quality.

Event Phases :

1. Phase 1: Coding Challenge (1 hour)
   • Competitors will be given output-based problems.
   • Your task is to deduce the logic or pattern and write the code to produce the given output.
   • Points are awarded based on correctness and efficiency.
2. Phase 2: Debugging (1 hour)
   • Only winners from Phase 1 will proceed to this round.
   • Participants will be given pre-written C programs with errors.
   • Your task is to identify and fix all logical and syntactical bugs.

Quiz Competition

General Rules :

• Each team must consist of 2 to 3 members.
• The quiz consists of two rounds: Written Multiple Choice and Rapid Fire.
• Each correct answer earns 1 point. There is no negative marking.
• Any team found engaging in unfair practices will be disqualified immediately.
• The decision of the quizmaster will be final and binding in all matters.
• Teams are encouraged to maintain a spirit of healthy competition.

Competition Format :

1. Round 1: Written Multiple Choice (Knockout)
   • This round will consist of 20 multiple-choice questions.
   • A time limit of 30 minutes will be given.
   • The top five teams with the highest scores will advance to Round 2.
   • A tiebreaker question will be used if necessary to determine finalists.
2. Round 2: Rapid Fire
   • This round will have 5 questions asked orally to each team.
   • Teams will have 30 seconds to answer each question.
   • If a team answers incorrectly, the question can be answered by the next team.
   • Tiebreaker questions will be asked if there is a tie for the winning positions.

• Each team must consist of 5 players (3 on-field + 2 substitutes).
• A full football kit (boots, jersey, shorts) is mandatory for all players.
• Teams must report 15 minutes before their scheduled match time to avoid a walkover.
• Referee decisions are final. Misconduct or violence will result in immediate disqualification.
• Organizers reserve the right to alter the schedule or rules if necessary.
